Happy Friday and Some Internet Love

This week has been seriously exhausting.  The mister has been out of town again for work add to that little miss is going through a growth spurt, teething and constantly on the go crawling, climbing, crumbling crackers, smooshing bananas and generally being a busy little adventurer and you get one tired momma.

I have a few new lenses I am looking at for my camera, plus a few toy cameras so my lens/camera lust has motivated me to try and master the manual setting on my Canon.  Luckily I have a subject that is willing to work for a few crackers and a piece of banana.

Here are a few of my favorites:

In addition to this little love, here are a few things from around the internet that have caught my eye:

1) I already make my own vinaigrettes but I think I will try making my own honey mustard via this recipe over the weekend.

2) I have been trolling Craig's List for a little piece of furniture for our guest room just like this one.

3) Our medicine cabinets are pretty beat up and in need of some care.  Thinking about doing something like this.

Monday I have plans to share a little tutorial.  Hope you have a great (and restful) weekend!

Happy Friday and Some Internet Love

Image via

Happy Friday!  It seems like another week flew by, as I tried to squeeze as much productivity out of nap times, taking care of Christmas packages, tackling some big house projects, adding a few small things to the shop and keeping things running round here by tackling all the super glamorous things like laundry.

This time of the year there are some really great resources around the web.  Here are some that caught my eye that I thought you might enjoy too:

1) Simple Mom shared a simple Advent calendar--I can't wait another year or two until we can do this with the little miss

2) I bragged about our high chair earlier this week but did you see that its on the docket to be given away at  Apartment Therapy and Ohdeedoh's Holiday giveaway this year?  I think I will enter to win it so I can give it away to some friends of ours who are expecting!

3) Speaking of Apartment Therapy, did you see this simple, modern ornament tutorial?  Those wood cut shapes would be perfect for painting with the kiddos--maybe as part of the Advent calendar :)

4) And did you see this tutorial for diy yarn letters?  So cute! And could be used other times of the year!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!  See you back here on Monday!

Happy Friday!

Hello all, are you looking forward to the weekend?  We sure are!  We have been busy this week getting it done and for the first time in a while we don't have any out of town family visiting and don't have any social commitments.  While it may sound boring to some, with a new baby and constant demands to visit us the little miss it will be blissful to just hang as a family, do some things around the house and relax.

Here are somethings from around the internet that caught my eye this week:

Like we need anymore books or bookshelves in our house but isn't this the prettiest idea?

I was glad to see a tutorial for sewing curtains for the novices like me out there.  If only I could settle on paint colors and find the right fabric...

I know all little kids say hilarious stuff but my friend Judy's grandson is hilarious.  I laughed so hard when I read this I almost woke the baby.

I know its kind of overplayed in the design world especially for nurseries but I am thinking of putting together some garland or bunting for the little miss's room especially after I saw this on Apartment Therapy.

I don't know if you saw this original post by Kelsey and Eric about marriage but the follow up post was almost as good.

Hope you all had a great week!  Have any fun plans for over the weekend?

P.S. We are soooo rocking the tummy time right now.  And we are adorable doing it!  And doesn't little miss's hair look blonde in that light?  I swear it's not. It's brown but that lighting caught all of her cute little hairs and made them glow!
